Networking

We collaborate with like-minded entities working within the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. We have collaborated with businesses, universities, religious institutions, government institutions, and nonprofit organizations – all concerned with breaking the cycle of poverty.

It’s true what they say: two heads are better than one. In our case, we believe that one hundred heads are better than two. There are many good organizations (public, private, and nonprofit) full of passionate, concerned individuals all working to alleviate the suffering of our fellow humans. But all too often, it seems as though our work is disjointed and competitive. We are all on the same team.

Recognizing that synergy is less a buzzword these days and more a standard operating procedure, The 1010 Project is actively seeking out the people and organizations that share a desire to see poverty ended everywhere for all time. We welcome any individuals or groups who are trying to make a difference to join us in whatever ways they can.

We maintain active partnerships with the Palava African Restaurant and Bar in Aurora, CO, and the Pub on Pearl, located next to our office in the Washington Park neighborhood.

We recently partnered with the Elias Fund (a Denver nonprofit organization working to empower young people in Zimbabwe) to host RockAfrica, a first-of-its-kind music and awareness event. Our friends at Elias are fond of quoting a Zimbabwean greeting: “Are you strong?” “I am strong if you are strong.”

Then let us all be strong together.
