Internships

1010 Internships

Our internships offer participants the opportunity to have real leadership and responsibility within the organization. Interns and volunteers are the driving force of our advocacy work and the organization in general.

The first question that 1010 interns are asked when they start working is, “What do you want to get out of this internship?” We strive to provide a more open-ended internship experience than people might be used to, and we have found that this translates into a sense of ownership for our interns. Interns tasked to aid in fundraising for the organization might easily find themselves chatting up our development partners in Kenya or looking into new communication tools for telling our story.

We value the contributions of our volunteers and interns. Without them, we would be at a real loss for new ideas and experiences. If you are passionate about issues of global poverty and desire an internship experience that will prepare, challenge, and excite you, then head on over to our internship applications to see what’s available.
