Community Events

Our events offer participants the opportunity to interact with staff, volunteers, partners, and board members. Events include, but are not limited to, campus-based activities, movie nights, concerts, benefit dinners, community dinners, art shows, global inequity banquets, and open houses.

We place a special emphasis on community at The 1010 Project, and we work hard to mirror the commitment of our partners and friends in Kenya to “give back” to the people that support them in their work. From our office in the Washington Park neighborhood of Denver, we are reaching out to local businesses and schools, helping to connect friends here to our work in Kenya.

Eradicating poverty and empowering people through our development work is an important goal of The 1010 Project. Our community events supplement that work by educating people about global poverty and empowering them to take action. We are encouraging people to Join the Story of people working hard to break the cycle of poverty.
