A Celebration of the Greater Good Academy (our partner)

Friday, November 12th, 2010

Greater Good AcademyThe curriculum for The 1010 Project’s Global Entrepreneur Academy (GEA) was adapted from the model used by Denver’s very own Greater Good Academy (GGA). It’s an amazing program run by some amazing people, and we are excited to grow our friendship. Principles of social entrepreneurship/business apply as much to community leaders in Denver as they do to our partners in Kenya. From the GGA website:

The Greater Good Academy (GGA) is an 8-week business development program for Denver area entrepreneurs from underserved communities in how to use sustainable and triple bottom line business thinking and practices to become more profitable.

We’d like to invite you to join us and our friends at the GGA on November 16th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mi Casa Resource Center, 360 Acoma Street, Denver, for a showcase event featuring the newest graduating class of the GGA. Some of these newly-minted entrepreneurs will be presenting their “triple bottom line” (people, planet, profits) business plans. Leaders from awesome Denver-area businesses will also be on hand to talk about sustainable and ethical enterprise practices. It’s sure to be a rocking event, so stop on by. Click here to head over to a larger description and a registration link. Thanks!
