Bio Information:

Tim Brauhn is an MA candidate in International Studies at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. He has concentrations in Religion and Politics in the Middle East and Central Asia and comparative democratization and plans to graduate in Spring 2009. Tim is currently a Program Officer at The 1010 Project, a Denver nonprofit working on poverty eradication in Kenya, where he coordinates fundraising, grantwriting, and social media outlets.

Tim has a BA in English Language and Literature from Aurora University, where he focused on feminist literary criticism and sociolinguistics. Before coming to Denver, he was actively involved in interfaith peacebuilding in the Chicago area, working as a resident fellow at Aurora University and collaborating with the Niagara Foundation, Interfaith Youth Core, and Hesed House.

Aside from his regular academic research areas, Tim plans on continuing his interfaith work in some capacity, and is very interested in social media and the nonprofit community. When he’s not reading, Tim enjoys cycling, writing, languages, and tea.
