We have recently joined up with eBay’s Giving Works program to increase our fundraising capabilities. Giving Works is a program that allows people to buy and sell items on eBay to support a nonprofit organization. Now that we are registered, we can collect in-kind donations (donations other than money) and turn them into usable funds to support the mission of The 10/10 Project.

The 10/10 Project can sell items directly, through the Direct Selling feature. But anyone can sell an item through the Community Selling feature. The Seller will designate all or a percentage of the stated price to go towards The 10/10 Project, they will sell the item from their location, eBay will give us the donation and give the buyer a tax receipt.

Each item that is listed, will display the special eBay giving Works ribbon which will identify to buyers that the listed item helps support a cause.

All listings will appear in three places: In the category in which you listed the item, in the eBay Giving Works charity category, and on our (The 10/10 Project’s) MissionFish homepage.

Currently we are looking for sponsors for our 2008 Benefit Dinner. The event will be Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Renaissance Boulder Suites at Flatiron.

Pledging

Pledging is an extremely important way to help our partners in Kenya. By pledging a monthly donation amount you give us the opportunity to budget more effectively, and in turn provide the greatest amount of funding for programming.

A pledge amount can be as little as $20/month, or as great as $1,000/month or more. There are no limitations. Each month we can either send you an email with a donation link, or an envelope for you to mail your donation to The 10/10 Project, Inc.
