Bio Information: Andrew Syed is a human rights activist and international development professional who has worked with Food For the Hungry, World Vision, Amnesty International as well as being the founder of The 1010 Project. He currently works as Manager of Social Responsibility for Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the world’s largest gold mining companies.
Andrew and his wife, Melia, have two sons – Tanner & Konner. As a family, they love to travel, the outdoors, all things soccer, and connecting with great people around the world. They are committed to the practical idea of relational development – that is the driving idea that friendship and family matters over policy and protocol. The secret to changing the world is as simple as getting to know one another as friends.
