GEA DIRECTOR SPEECH
GEA LAUNCH 20TH OCTOBER,2010
AT JIMLIZER HOTEL NAIROBI.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to this launch of the Global Entrepreneur Academy today on Wednesday 20th October 2010 at the Jimlizer Hotel in Nairobi. On behalf of the 1010 Project, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all our 1010 partners, supporters, and other friends, individuals, churches and all stakeholders, for the continued support and good relationships which has enabled The 1010 Project to grow this far. We will not relent in our endeavor to strengthen our community projects to serve our people for a better life and to break the poverty cycle.
The 1010 project is a humanitarian organization that derives its name from John 10:10, where Jesus states “the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come so that you might have life, life to the full.”
We believe that poverty steals, kills and destroys life over the world and it should be the work of people of faith to alleviate global poverty. We are here today to launch the Global Entrepreneur Academy whose aim is to build the capacities of the CBO’s and FBO’s to empower them to create and operate financially sustainable, profit-making enterprises.
It is my sincere feeling that if we all put our energies together we shall fight and break the poverty cycle which steals kills and destroys the precious lives given by God; through the entrepreneurial capacities the CBO’S and FBO’S the cycle of poverty in the following areas shall be broken:
HIV and Aids
Lack of employment
Social Injustices
Domestic Violence
Illiteracy
Child Abuse
And all other factors that lead poverty
Brothers and sisters let’s work together to break the poverty cycle in Jesus Name.
May God bless you.
