The 10/10 Project

The 1010 Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing income generating grants to indigenous development partners in Kenya and raising awareness on behalf of the global poor in the United States.

Our strategy is simple

We serve to advocate for and empower the work of social entrepreneurs. A social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses his or her own initiative to organize, create, and manage a venture to make positive social change.

The multidimensional cycle of poverty affects billions of people every day

The 1010 Project endorses the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals. Our local partners are schools, orphanages, women's empowerment groups, microfinance institutions, and HIV/AIDS support groups that are managed by committed individuals working together to provide for their communities. Through these partner organizations, we support some 1400 orphans, more than 500 small businesses and over 4000 young students.

The 1010 Project connects resource to need in the context of friendship

Our partner organizations have roots in their communities, and we build strong, long-lasting relationships with members. We offer them a helping hand.

Offering a helping hand includes listening to, learning from, and humbly serving alongside the true experts in the development field: the poor. It is our belief that quality relationships and lasting partnerships are critical success factors in ending the cycle of poverty.
